Hey there, fabulous ladies! If you have been following my recent adventures, you will know I just returned from a whirlwind trip to Ankara, Turkey. But guess what? I had just finished unpacking when it was time to pack up again for another exciting destination—Frankfurt! Seizing the opportunity of the New Year holidays, I set off on a short trip to one of my favorite cities in Germany.
Frankfurt is a city I cannot get enough of. Every time I visit, I discover something new and enchanting despite the winter chill. And boy, was it cold this time! With freezing temperatures and biting winds, I needed to layer up, but that did not stop me from enjoying every moment.

My Travel to Frankfurt Day 1: Arrival in Frankfurt and Exploring the Old Town
For the trip to Frankfurt, I opted for a casual yet chic ensemble that balanced comfort with style. I wore full-length black trousers, a white long-sleeve top, and a black blazer-style coat. This outfit was perfect for the journey and for navigating heated indoor spaces. To keep things casual and comfortable, I slipped into my trusty trainers.
We arrived at our hotel around 6:00 PM. With the short winter days in Germany, it was already dark, and the cold was intense.
My initial plan was to unwind at the hotel, especially since I was still recovering from my trip to Turkey. However, hunger had other plans! My husband convinced me to take a quick walk to the nearby old town for dinner.
Before stepping out, I swapped my light coat for a heavier wool coat and added a wool hat to brace the cold. Despite the frigid weather, the old town was beautifully decorated for the season and bustling with people.
The festive atmosphere was infectious, and we enjoyed a lovely dinner at a cozy restaurant.
It was so cold that I did not even remove my coat inside! After warming up with a delicious meal, we returned to the hotel, ready to recharge for the next day.
Day 2: City Sightseeing and the Senckenberg Natural History Museum
On our second day in Frankfurt, I opted for a chic yet snug ensemble to stay fashionable and warm. I wore black patent leather trousers, an ecru white sweater, and black and white leather cowboy-style ankle boots.
To add a pop of color and keep warm, I layered a black kimono with a golden metal belt and topped it off with a green wool coat.
After a hearty breakfast, we ventured into the city center, ready to explore its sights and soak in the atmosphere. Frankfurt architecture blends modern skyscrapers with historic landmarks, offering plenty of photo-worthy moments.
However, as the temperature dropped, we decided to head indoors to the Senckenberg Natural History Museum—a must-visit, especially if you have kids!
The museum is a treasure trove of fascinating exhibits. From towering dinosaur skeletons to intricate bird displays, it was an educational and entertaining experience.
My son was thrilled, especially when his dad kept jokingly comparing me to unusual bird species. The laughter was endless, and we all had a blast posing for pictures with the me alike birds:).
It was a delightful way to spend a chilly afternoon, and we left with warm memories and a deeper appreciation for natural history.
Day 3: Relaxation and Scenic Views at the Hotel
After two action-packed days, we decided to take it easy on the third day. The view from our hotel room overlooking the River Main was breathtaking, so we preferred to relax and enjoy the serene scenery.
For a cozy yet stylish day indoors, I wore my beloved gold metallic wide-leg pants paired with a black turtleneck bodysuit and beige flat mules. As I sipped my hot drink on the balcony, I opted for a chic black vest paired with my snug wool coat to keep warm.
The combination was effortlessly stylish, offering comfort and elegance—perfect for enjoying the chilly air without feeling bulky.
We spent the day indulging in room service, savoring the beautiful panoramic views, and recharging for our journey back home. It was a calm day that allowed us to reflect on the amazing experiences we had during our trip to Frankfurt.
Day 4: A Morning Stroll by the River Main and Heading Home
On our final day in Frankfurt, I could not resist taking a morning stroll by the River Main before we packed up and headed home. The river, just across from our hotel, offered a tranquil start to the day.
For this outing, I chose a comfy yet chic look: black long-length trousers, a light black sweater, and a statement floral coat with feather appliqué—a standout piece from a past Zara collection.
I finished the look with my pointed-toe leather mules, ensuring style and comfort for the trip home. The floral coat added a pop of personality to the otherwise neutral outfit and kept me warm without feeling weighed down.
As we strolled along the river, breathing in the fresh morning air and soaking in the breathtaking views, a deep sense of contentment washed over me. Traveling to Frankfurt had been a delightful experience, filled with memorable moments.
